Community Action Teams - Police Department

The Glendale Police Department Community Action Teams (CAT) believe in the power of prevention, encouraging residents, businesses, public and private institutions and faith-based organizations to work in collaboration with the Police Department, to make our community a safer place to live and work.

Each CAT consists of a Crime Prevention Specialist and a Police Officer. The goal of the Community Action Teams is to utilize the Community Oriented Policing philosophy by providing the necessary tools to eliminate or reduce crime through educational programs and enforcement. CAT serves as pro-active problem solvers, utilizing community partnerships and resources, and educational programs to help resolve neighborhood and business issues.
