New Traffic Signs, Stop Signs, and No Parking Signs
The Transportation Department adheres to the guidance set forth in the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and new signs will only be installed after an engineering study is performed.
Stop Signs will not be installed for speed control or at intersections of local roadways where the application of the normal right-of-way rule can be reasonably applied.
"No Parking" zones are installed as a convenience to our residents and utilize a petition process. A request for a petition will initiate a field investigation and City staff will determine whether the installation of "No Parking" signs conforms to City practice and will be enforceable under section 24-53 of the City of Glendale Municipal Code.
The Glendale Police department can be contacted to enforce parking violations outlined in the City Municipal Code and in the Arizona Revised Statutes.
